Hello and welcome to Knit One. All of us here are so excited about the opportunity to serve the fiber arts community in Pittsburgh by offering high quality yarn accessories, as well as a growing list of classes givn by our highly qualified and experienced teachers.
I thought is might be nice to briefly introduce our staff to all of our website visitors so you can feel more comfortable coming in or phoning in to discuss project successes, ideas, and hazards.
So let’s begin with me.
I’m a retired opera singer and after teaching voice at Point Park University and Carnegie Mellon University, I now teach privately and continue to train singers as the Director of the Young Artist’s Program at Pittsburgh Opera Theater’s SUMMERFEST.
Knitting has been my go-to art form for the last 10 years and Knit One has always been my favorite shop. When the opportunity to purchase the store presented itself, my husband of 17 years, Ray, and I saw it as a chance to spend more time together while pursuing our overlapping passions for the fiber arts and entrepreneurship.
I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible in the store and am always available via email and phone.
